With a background in information systems and technology, I have worked in an eDiscovery environment for nearly three years.

I am focused on delivering exceptional client service in every interaction and do this by simplifying processes and creating efficiencies that deliver real value by reducing time, costs and stress.

Supporting eDiscovery Collab’s senior consultants, I am responsible for taking the disorganised and chaotic bundle of documents and data that arrives from clients and turning it into something that tells the story of each matter.

Utilising my IT background, I am always looking for ways to do things better. In my spare time you will find me exploring and testing the AI capabilities that are developing around eDiscovery.

Experience

I help clients across their eDiscovery and information management engagements, including:

• Managing the intake and ingestion of electronic data so it is organised and accessible for legal review

• Processing electronic data using tools to deduplicate, cull and index, then setting up keyword searching and date range filtering all while maintaining the integrity of the data

• Protecting the metadata during collection and ingestion and managing any compliance requirements

• Assisting clients throughout the eDiscovery process from collection to e-trial

1. Start planning for eDiscovery as early as possible. Early planning can help streamline the process.

2. Be realistic about timelines. Collection, processing, review and production often takes longer than expected, especially with large or messy datasets.

3. Choose service providers based on support, not just pricing. Responsive project management and technical experience can save substantial time and reduce risk during urgent matters.
